The 67th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday saw the 10-song Bob Marley: One Love (Music Inspired by the Film) soundtrack win the Best Reggae Album category.
Covers of some of Marley’s more well-known songs, including Natural Mystic, Exodus, Waiting in Vain, Three Little Birds, One Love, Redemption Song, and Is This Love, are included in the project, which came with the box office success movie of the same name.
Marley’s grandson Skip Marley, Daniel Caesar, Kacey Mulgraves, Bloody Civilian, Wizkid, Jesse Reyez, and Leon Bridges are among the artists that are included.
Last February, Island Records published the project.
The Wailers’ Evolution, Shenseea’s Never Gets Late Here, Collie Buddz’s Take it Easy, and Vybz Kartel’s Party with Me were the other candidates in the Best Reggae Album category.
